Living Lake Livingston!

Thomas Lake Road VFD Annual Labor Day BBQ

If you live in or near Walker County you don't want to miss the annual fundraiser for the Thomas Lake Road Volunteer Fire Department. This Sunday, September 5,  from 11-2 they will be serving up barbecued  chicken, brisket, and sausage along with potato salad, beans, iced tea, and dessert! This feast is a mere $7.00 for adults, $3.50 for children 6-10, and children under 6 eat FREE!

Thomas Lake Road VFD

I have been attending and or working these barbecues since 1995. While the food is WONDERFUL, my favorite part of the entire event is the cake auction! Big Al is our instigator auctioneer and he engages the audience in a healthy war for cakes and other merchandise.  The cake auction starts at 12:30. You may want to get there early as it is normally a standing room only event.
